Alfred's Basic Piano LibraryAll-in-One Course Book One By Willard A. Palmer, Morton Manus, and Amanda Vick Lethco. Published by Alfred.

This easy step-by-step method is most effective when used under the direction of a piano teacher or experienced musician.

This book combines Alfred's Basic Piano Library Lesson Books for 1A and 1B, plus selected pages from Theory, Recital, and Fun Solo Books.

Students will learn about the white keys and the black keys, and working in simple rhythms to prep for "stepping up" and "stepping down". An intro will be made for reading lines and space notes in treble and bass clefs as well as intervals, the flat and sharp signs, incomplete measures, tempo markings, eighth notes and rests, using the damper pedal, half steps and whole steps as well as the major scale via tetrachords.

Throughout the book, students will learn music theory basics through written work, games, ear-training, eye-training and improvisation.
