Hal Leonard Student Piano Library Piano Book 1

 

LESSON BOOK:

The beginning of the book introduces finger numbers, the black-key and white-key groups, and basic rhythm patterns. Finger numbers turn into note names. Students are introduced to the staff, and learn reading Bass F and Treble G, and intervals in different positions.

THEORY WORKBOOK:

This book has ear training and basic theory exercises to help students learn to write and play music. There are fun and creative assignments throughout the book. Correlates with Hal Leonard's Piano Lessons Book 1.

TECHNIQUE BOOK:

This book contains short, 4-measure exercises, warm-ups and brief etudes. Each Warm-Up and Etude in the book has its own original accompaniment, available on a separate CD (separate). This book focuses on basic skills at the piano like good posture & hand position, creating a beautiful tone, attention to silence, playing forte and piano, playing detached tones, and playing connected notes.
