Prelude Bass strings is a great choice for students because they have increased durability, are affordable and produce a nice, warm sound. They're made using a multi-stranded steel core, and are unaffected by temperature and humidity changes resulting in a warm tone and excellent bow response.
 
We sell them in a full set of 4 strings (G, D, A, E), or as individual strings. It's recommended to keep an extra set on hand because you never know when a string will break.
